MOTORHOME WARRANTIES

Motorhome warranties offer essential build-quality cover, protecting you in the event of leaks, breakdown or internal equipment failure such as the cooker or fridge.

What is insured?

Motorhome Care Gold
For motorhomes up to 10 years old / 60,000 miles:
  • Covers all factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components.
  • Excludes service items, wheels and tyres, audio equipment and radio aerials, bodywork and paintwork.
  • Includes limited cover for car hire and hotel accommodation following a mechanical breakdown.
  • Includes cover for mechanical breakdown and hotel accommodation whilst in the EU.
Motorhome Care Silver
For motorhomes up to 20 years old:
  • Covers key components including engine, manual and automatic gearbox, differential, clutch, front wheel drive, four-wheel drive, prop shaft, engine cooling system, air conditioning, turbocharger, and fuel system.
  • Covers front and rear suspension, steering, brakes, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electrical system, and engine management.
  • Covers internal living equipment including cooker, fridge, water system, auxiliary electrics, and heating system.
  • Covers body leaks (water ingress covered up to 10 years old).
  • Includes limited cover for recovery charges, rail fare, and hotel accommodation following a mechanical breakdown.
  • Includes cover for mechanical breakdown and hotel accommodation whilst in the EU.

Are there restrictions?

  • You must be a resident of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man.
  • You must be the comprehensive motor insurance policyholder or a named driver on the policy for the vehicle for the entire policy term.
  • The policy must be purchased from the Policy Retailer within 90 days of purchasing the vehicle.
  • The vehicle must not be an emergency vehicle or a commercial or specialist vehicle, including those over 3.5 tonnes, taxis, courier vehicles, buses, minibuses, coaches, trucks, motorhomes, trailers, heavy goods vehicles, licensed private hire vehicles, daily rental vehicles, or breakdown and recovery vehicles.
  • The vehicle must not be used or insured for hire and reward, dispatch, driving school tuition, chauffeuring, road racing, track days (timed or untimed), rallying, pace-making, speed testing, or any other competitive event.

Where am I covered?

This policy provides cover within the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man, and also extends to cover outside these areas for up to 90 consecutive days within any 12-month period.

When does the cover start?

You are covered for one month from the start date shown on your Policy Schedule, with cover continuing each month thereafter as long as your premium is received and accepted.

When does the cover end?

The policy will end earlier if:

  • You do not pay your premium when it is due.
  • You or the vehicle no longer meet the eligibility criteria.
  • The vehicle is sold or transferred to a new owner, unless it is transferred to a family member.
  • The policy is cancelled.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel this insurance within 30 days of the start date shown on your Policy Schedule, or within 30 days of receiving your Policy Document if later. You may also cancel your policy at any time thereafter; however, no refund of premium will be provided, as you will only have paid for the cover already received.
