CARAVAN WARRANTIES
Caravan warranties offer essential build-quality cover, protecting you in the event of leaks, breakdown or internal equipment failure such as the cooker or fridge.
What is insured?
Caravan Care Gold
For caravans up to 10 years old:
For caravans up to 20 years old:
External Equipment Cover:
For caravans up to 10 years old:
- Covers all factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components.
- Excludes service and routine maintenance items.
- Excludes: wheels, batteries, glass, windows and catches.
- Excludes: paintwork, soft furnishings, carpets, floor coverings, work surfaces, and similar décor items.
- Includes limited cover for hotel accommodation following a mechanical breakdown of the holiday home.
For caravans up to 20 years old:
External Equipment Cover:
- Body leaks (water ingress covered up to 10 years old).
- Braking systems.
- Chassis.
- Running gear.
- Suspension.
- Towing mechanism.
- Cooker.
- Fridge.
- Water system.
- Cassette toilet.
- Auxiliary electrics.
- Heating system.
- Includes limited cover for recovery charges, rail fare, and hotel accommodation following the mechanical breakdown of a vehicle.
Are there restrictions?
- Caravans over 20 years of age
- Any items not specifically listed under Caravan Care Silver cover
- Caravans used for hire or reward
- Wear and tear, servicing, and routine maintenance items
- Wheels and tyres
- Batteries
- Audio equipment and radio aerials
- Glass, windows, and catches
- Bodywork and paintwork
- Soft furnishings, carpets, floor coverings, work surfaces, and similar décor items
- Pre-existing faults
Where am I covered?
This policy provides cover within the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man, and also extends to cover outside these areas for up to 90 consecutive days within any 12-month period.
When does the cover start?
You are covered for one month from the start date shown on your Policy Schedule, with cover continuing each month thereafter as long as your premium is received and accepted.
When does the cover end?
The policy will end earlier if:
- You do not pay your premium when it is due.
- You or the vehicle no longer meet the eligibility criteria.
- The vehicle is sold or transferred to a new owner, unless it is transferred to a family member.
- The policy is cancelled.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel this insurance within 30 days of the start date shown on your Policy Schedule, or within 30 days of receiving your Policy Document if later. You may also cancel your policy at any time thereafter; however, no refund of premium will be provided, as you will only have paid for the cover already received.
